physical sound awareness
auditory study
an oscillator generates a sequence of sound frequencies at a sinusoidal voltage of 40-80 Hz. when air in this frequency range is vibrated by a sound generator (low-bass loudspeaker), this is physically perceptible to humans. in a confined space (a long corridor or a room of 30 x 4 x 4 metres provides optimal conditions), direct and reflected sound waves overlap. by walking around in the room, one feels these overlaps, which reinforce or cancel each other out according to the principle of interference and exert different "pressures" on the body.
